CHOOSE JOY
We know that if people give just a little more—of their time, skills, knowledge, wisdom, compassion, wealth and love—the world would be a more peaceful and healthier place.

How a toy finds it's way to a foster child.

Hope Advocates distributes the list to it's members. Each member is responsible for making sure every kid get's what's on the list. We always want to make it an extra special Christmas for these kids.

This year because of Covid we could not have are annual wrapping party. So people that sponsored kids were asked to wrap the gifts and deliver them to a central location. Each gift must have the child's name and foster parents name on them.

Each year The Heart of The kids reaches out to Hope Advocates. We get a list of foster kids in Fort Bend And Harris Counties with their Christmas wishlist.

In order to fulfill the amount of gifts we reach out to the community. Families will sponsor a child even teams or bible study groups will sponsor a child.

And that is the story of how Hope Advocates goes from accepting the children each year to a toy under the tree. Merry Christmas
As gifts come in from different people in the community Hope Advocates and volunteers begin the logistics of sorting gifts. We must make sure each kid gets what they asked for and if we need to add we must find that gift. Making sure they are properly labeled and with the right foster family.
Once the presents are sorted and accounted for we would pack them into a trailer(Santas Sleigh) and deliver them to the Heart of the Kids Christmas party. But again Covid has adjusted those plans. This year we partnered with National Charity League Sienna. We sent out a request for delivery drivers and they signed up for every home.
